Synopsis
Early indications suggest a settled Christmas week, and fairly cool with HIGH pressure dominating. Christmas day itself is likely to be settled and cool, with perhaps some mist and fog first thing for some. At this stage rain or showers seem unlikely but should a shower develop where temperatures are below 3C, mainly over the Cairngorms and Highlands, a flurry or two is possible. Elsewhere, at this stage, a White Christmas seems unlikely.
Temperatures are expected to range from 3C in Scotland to 10C around the south coast.
