White Christmas Forecast

40% Chance of a white Christmas

White Christmas Forecast Issued: 2009-10-18 18:12:00
Next Forecast: 2009-10-24 18:00:00

Synopsis
Quite a firm trend remains in place this week on the long range charts with a cold airflow still looking possible near to or at the Christmas period. It does seem that the Atlantic will always try to gain its grip back where possible. The SW part of the UK will always be most open to milder weather and will see any Atlantic weather first therefore the risk here is lower. Meanwhile the NE of Scotland will hold onto for any colder conditions for longest. Any precipitation seems like it would be rather showery than organised bands. It does seem Pressure will fluctuate quite alot at times with HIGH Pressure trying to nudge in at times but LOW Pressure also trying to join in aswell. Cool temperatures for much of the country but not excessively cold or mild.
