White Christmas Forecast Issued: 2009-11-16 20:23:00

Synopsis
After a fairly long time where the charts were keen to keep mild air over us, it has recently shown occasionally some colder air moving towards the UK at times however milder air has been suggested aswell. Therefore the percentage risk has increased slightly again this week however overall there has been no real trend has stood out tight now. It does look like LOW Pressure will be in control though with frequent spells of rain and showers. Pressure may be higher at times on the continent so England may be more settled at times though LOW pressure should see its way through often enough. As with most Low pressure systems there could be some strong winds or even gales at times, particularly along the coast and over higher ground in the North and West. Obviously due to the current switches between cooler and milder air on the long range charts its hard to tell the overall outlook and temperature though a cool feel seems most likely with spells of rain and wind at times.
