Synopsis
After the Arctic blast during the last few days, LOW pressure from the Atlantic is expected to dominate the UK's weather once again. During Saturday a warm front is forecast to sweep across much of the country. As the front moves into the cold air over the mountains of the Highlands and Cairngorms, the front edge is expected to turn to wet snow for a while and perhaps give temporary accumulations in places for a time. During the early hours of Saturday the snow level is expected to be around 900 metres, but once the front arrives this will rise quickly, limiting any snow to the tops of the mountains. During the day the snow is expected to turn back to rain, perhaps some sleet on the mountain tops. Conditions may be hazardous at times, therefore extra caution is strongly advised.
