Synopsis
The polar maritime airmass will continue to affect the UK during Wednesday. Scattered Showers will affect Scotland during the day falling as Snow above approximately 500m but during the day this will quickly rise leaving only the peaks likely to see any snow by dusk. All other levels will see showers turning increasingly to rain. It will be very windy once again in the mountains with gale-force gusts also likely in places. The Windchill effect will make it feel sub-zero for much of the da, potentially causing hazardous conditions. Please take caution if venturing into the mountains on Wednesday as conditions may be dangerous and surfaces are likely to be slippery.
