Synopsis
During Sunday Night it will turn very cold across much of Scotland with a ground frost for many. However a weather front will sweep in from the west arriving in Western Scotland by around 6am. As it the front moves into the colder air, predominately across central and eastern regions, there is a moderate chance of it being preceded by a short spell of sleet or snow, particularly on higher ground. There is the risk of freezing rain also, and sudeen icy roads. Eventually the snow will turn back to rain in all places, but some temporary accumulations are possible over the hills and mountains where conditions may be treacherous. Snow may be heavy over the Grampians for a while too so extra caution is advised here.
