Synopsis
Saturday sees an Arctic blast covering central and eastern parts of the UK, with strong northerly winds driving heavy snow showers into Northern Scotland, down North East England and into Norfolk and North East Suffolk. Some showers will be quite heavy which will lead to some accumulations. The odd shower may clip East Kent but many showers should miss here. The winds will turn from a North Westerly to more Northerly in the Early Hours of Saturday so some showers may come inland a little more. Also in the Early Hours of Saturday some light showers may effect parts of Wales and the West Midlands with some sleet possible on higher ground and accumulations unlikely. It will be bitter everywhere away from the South West tomorrow with a sub-zero windchill. With snow in some parts, extra caution is advised, especially in western Scotland later in the evening as an area of organised snow arrives.
