Synopsis
LOW Pressure in control on Saturday will bring a very cool feel with strong winds for many and rain in the north. Like the last few days they will be wintry over the Scottish mountains above 900m. Snow may turn heavy towards the peaks and perhaps blizzard like at times in the gale force winds-especially in the Western Highlands region. A severe wind chill will be in effect today so taking care and wrapping up warm is vital if in the mountains today. Some lying snow is possible towards the peaks aswell. The very highest summits on the Lake District region may see a little sleet within any showers though snow isnt expected however it will still be very cold with the accompanied strong gale force winds.
