Synopsis

A complex situation during Monday. LOW pressure will still be dominating the weather with frequent snow showers continuing in the North and West. They will probably become less frequent after morning but there will still be quite a few showers about. Showers may be heavy, continuing to top up on accumulations already. Showers will struggle to make it too far inland. In Eastern Scotland there will be showers also but they will belighter in general and less frequent. North East England may see a few showers but not as many as in the West.

There will be some showers around South Wales, and parts of North Devon, Somerset and Gloucestershire. They may be occasionally moderate or heavy. As winds swing more to the South West some showers may filter towards the West Midlands region. Small accumulations are possible locally.

Later in the day holds a fair bit of uncertainty as a front will try and nudge into Southern and Eastern areas. The leading edge may see some sleet or snow. The positioning of the precipitation is uncertain. Parts of the East Midlands and East Anglia will most likely see some snow if the precipitation gets here. Coastal counties will most likely see rain. An update may be issued later in the day when things are more firmed up on this situation.

Where snow falls conditions will be tricky so take extra care especially in the North West where snow has been very frequent for some.
