Synopsis

Low pressure "Leonore" (FU Berlin) situated close to Iceland will dominate the weather across the United Kingdom on Saturday.

As a cold front exits the southeast corner first thing, a rPm airmass is then dominant across the whole of the country. Scattered showers are expected to develop in response to daytime heating, with a low risk of thunder and/or lightning. Best potential appears to be over East Anglia where more favourable cloud heights are present.

Any showers that do develop will move in a predominant southeasterly direction, decreasing in coverage through the evening hours. Given the airmass, hail is possible in some of the showers.
