Synopsis
A cold front pushing southeastwards during the night will bring some rain to central and southern England. An occlusion over Northern Scotland will weaken during the night, the rain turning increasingly drizzly and patchy. Elsewhere it remains a mainly dry but cloudy night. After dawn a warm front will move into Northern Ireland, bringing some rain, which will work into parts of Wales and Southwest England during the morning and Southwest Scotland in the afternoon. Ahead of the front, over central and eastern regions, there will be some sunny spells but also a few scattered showers, which may become a little heavier in the afternoon, perhaps with an isolated rumble of thunder. Warm and humid air will arrive from the west with the warm front, bringing some coastal and hill mist and fog to many western regions. The heaviest of the rain is likely over Northern Ireland and western Scotland - elsewhere it turns increasingly patchy and drizzly during the evening and overnight. The rain will work across Scotland and Northern England during the evening, although lingering across the far north of Scotland for the remainder of the night. There is a small possibility of a few rumbles of thunder within this rainband over Northern Ireland and Scotland.
